Ael

Ael t'Rllaillieu and the Sword of S'task.

The Sword of S'task is a sword made by the Vulcan swordsmith S'harien in the ways of the old Vulcan smiths. Surak came to S'task's quarters one night before the exodus from Vulcan with a bundle with three swords in it. "Keep these safe, I pray you," he said in the Old High Vulcan of ceremony. S'task took the bundle, bowed deeply and made no other answer. It contained three of the most priceless S'hariens on the planet, two of which had been thought to belong to kings. No one ever knew how Surak came to have them. Two were lost during the voyage to Romulus during the exodus, and the one that made it, the one that lay in the Empty Chair in the Council chambers, became known as the Sword of S'task.
