The Szeket was a crystal that is used as the currency of the Gorn Hegemony in the 23rd century.
Two small crystals equaled six szekets in 2268. That amount would purchase two glasses of water with ice on the Gorn city Tzoryp. Cervantes Quinn used szekets to purchase information when trying to track down the Orion freighter Treana. Lieutenant Commander Bridget McLellan used 500 szekets to bribe a drunk alien to stage a fight just outside of the Klingon Intelligence hideout in Tzoryp to distract the Klingons.
