The T'Karath Sanctuary was an ancient underground spiritual site located in Vulcan's Forge, roughly 37 kellicams south of Mount Seleya on Vulcan. (TNG episode: "Gambit")
Catacombs underneath the Sanctuary contained the physical remains of a number of early Vulcan leaders, including Surak's student and Kolinahr Master T'Klass. Also hidden within these catacombs was a chamber containing the Kir'Shara. (ENT episode: "Awakening")
Prior to 2154, it served as a hideout for the Syrrannites. After being discovered there by the Vulcan High Command, much of the Sanctuary was destroyed by aerial bombardment. (ENT episodes: "The Forge", "Awakening", "Kir'Shara")
The T'Karath Sanctuary was abandoned for years afterwards, presumably until the Vulcan Isolationist Movement used it to store one of the three pieces of the Stone of Gol. (TNG episode: "Gambit")
In the mirror universe, Vulcan rebels againt the Terran Empire used the catacombs beneath the T'Karath Sanctuary as a base of operations in the mid-22nd century. (ENT novel: Age of the Empress)
