T'Maran was a Vulcan politician of the mid-22nd century. She was the third person to serve the office of President after the United Federation of Planets was founded in 2161.

Biography

During the Earth-Romulan War, T'Maran served as the Peace Minister for the Confederacy of Vulcan under Administrator T'Pau. After the war, she was one of the negotiators and signatories of the Articles of the Federation. (ENT - The Romulan War novel: To Brave the Storm)

After the official founding of the United Federation of Planets in 2161, T'Maran became the inaugural Federation Councillor of Vulcan and was re-elected for that position in 2164. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Tower of Babel)

In 2172, she was elected to be the third President of the Federation and served a full term from 2173 to 2176.

As of 2380, one of the private shuttles of the President was named after her. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)
