For other uses, see T'Mir.

T'Mir, the great-grandmother of T'Pol and maternal grandmother of T'Les, was a Vulcan woman who was stranded with her crew mates when their ship crash landed in Carbon Creek, Pennsylvania in 1957. The ship had been on a research expedition to learn more about Earth after they detected the launch of the Sputnik I, the first artificial satellite launched by humans. T’Mir was impressed by a human teenager named Jack who wanted to be a mechanical engineer. Before the Vulcans were rescued, she sold a patent for Velcro to get money to pay the boy’s college tuition. She also agreed to keep silent when her crew mate Mestral decided to remain on Earth. Instead she lied that Mestral had been killed in the crash. T'Pol visited Carbon Creek when she was stationed on Earth and kept her great-grandmother’s purse from the trip to Earth among her possessions. T'Pol told her great-grandmother’s story to Jonathan Archer and Charles Tucker III in 2152 but they weren’t certain whether to believe her. (ENT episode: "Carbon Creek")

T'Mir, the daughter of T'Pol and Trip, was likely named in her honor.(ENT - The Romulan War novel: To Brave the Storm)
