T'Nel was a female Vulcan born circa 2183, the daughter of Sivok and L'Nel, and the older sister of T'Prynn.
For a time during her youth, T'Nel lived in the village of Kren'than, along with her sister, and mentored under Healer Sobon. She later became a Healer in her own right, and took up residence in the nearby village of Ha'tren.
In 2266, she returned to Kren'than to assist Sobon in performing Dashaya-Ni'Var on T'Prynn, in order to extract the katra of Sten from T'Prynn's mind. (VAN novel: Open Secrets)
