T'Rina was a 32nd century Vulcan woman, a politician in the 3180s and 3190s decades.

Biography[]

In the year 3189, T'Rina held the title of president and was the democratically elected leader of the planet Ni'Var, homeworld of the Vulcan and Romulan civilizations after their long-awaited reunification. During that year, the government was notified to the arrival of the USS Discovery, a recent edition to the decimated Federation Starfleet that had been admitted to its ranks after arriving from the 24th century. Though Ni'Var had left the United Federation after the catastrophic events of the Burn, an exception was made for the Discovery because of the unique circumstances of her first officer: Michael Burnham, the ward of Sarek and adoptive sister of the famed Ambassador Spock. When the starship arrived at the system, T'Rina welcomed them over holographic communications and declared it to be an honour to meet Burnham, expressing her wish that Spock could have been alive to witness the results of his work. However, though T'Rina hoped to further show the civilisation that existed on Ni'Var since the Vulcans had reunited with their Romulan cousins, she conveyed the refusal of her government to disclose information on the experimental SB-19 project, forcing Burnham to invoke her right as a graduate of the Vulcan Science Academy to call for a T'Kal-in-ket, which the President acknowledged.
