Captain T'Vala was a Starfleet officer active in the late 24th century. By 2381, T'Vala was the commanding officer of the USS Athens.

During the Borg invasion, the Athens was dispatched to the Azure Nebula to join the other allied reinforcements there to prevent further Borg incursions. While on station, the Athens was successful in determining the proper soliton wave frequency to open subspace tunnel aperture twenty-three alpha, and T'Vala reported this to the USS Voyager. However, before any vessel could pass through to scout, tunnel twenty-six opened to allow over seven thousand Borg cubes through, assaulting the awaiting fleet. (ST - Destiny novel: Mere Mortals)

Online timelineEdit

By 2409, T'Vala was captain of the Typhoon-class successor to her original starship, the USS Athens. In that year, the entire crew was replaced by Undine agents, including T'Vala. She was replaced by an ambitious Undine who engaged another Starfleet ship in real battle during war games. Starfleet then retook the ship, but the Undine escaped. (STO mission: "War Games")
