Talia Kandel was a female Deltan Starfleet officer in the late 24th century.

Biography[]

As of 2381, Kandel held the rank of Lieutenant, and was to the USS Aventine as a relief tactical officer. During the Borg Invasion of 2381, Kandel was on duty when the Aventine answered the USS Enterprise-E's distress call in the Azure Nebula, and became responsible for the targeting of the transphasic torpedoes.

Later, when the Aventine and Enterprise were confronted by a pack of Hirogen hunting vessels in the Delta Quadrant, Kandel took the tactical post as Tactical Officer Lonnoc Kedair went to fight of the boarders. (ST - Destiny novel: Mere Mortals)

Kandel was also on duty when the Aventine launched a plan to attack, board, and capture a Borg scout ship. When the Borg Queen took control of the scout, Kandel relayed orders to get everyone off before the Aventine destroyed the ship. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls)

Kandel was a musician, and often played the Saar string on the Aventine recreation deck, accompanied by Chief Spon on the Elisiar. (ST novel: A Singular Destiny)

She was on the bridge during the Aventine's conflict with fellow Starfleet vessels, the USS Falchion and the USS Warspite in orbit of Andor, reporting on the status of the former vessel earlier in the battle. Later, she followed the actions of the Warspite as it moved into orbit of Andor's south pole. (ST - The Fall novel: A Ceremony of Losses)
