In the desire of keeping info about Cardassians in one place, I'd suggest to merge this article with Cardassian, as the species seems to be pretty much identical, and we have limited data points about their history in this alternate reality. In short, the two articles would work better together as one since the Cardassians are outwardly similar to prime reality Cardassians with some alternate history to be documented as a subsection of the main article. -- Captain MKB 17:18, November 28, 2014 (UTC)

I think we should keep "Cardassian (mirror)" anyway; it's quite detailed. -- DS9 Forever (talk) 18:57, November 28, 2014 (UTC)

I think a lot of he detail is misplaced, as the article ends up being more about Cardassian history and the Cardassian Union. mirror Cardassians are Cardassians are Cardassians. they're not a different species. --- Captain MKB 20:26, November 28, 2014 (UTC)

I agree with the Captain. The species is the same, only the history is different. Imho, a merger or rename is a good idea for all the "species (mirror)" articles. –-- Markonian 21:03, November 28, 2014 (UTC)

You would have to link Cardassian (mirror) to Cardassian to all pages that link here, that's a lot of work and a lot of pages to fix. You would have to fix all "species (mirror)" articles to the prime universe species links.--Typhuss999 (talk) 21:23, November 28, 2014 (UTC)

"Having a lot of links to fix" isn't really a valid part of a discussion of whether or not a page is justified. the links were written incorrectly and thats why an unjustifiable page exists. Regardless, a mirror redirect would mean those pages would just circle back here anyway, and would serve to redirect anyone following the topic who might also be tempted to mistakenly create the page
Admiral, thanks for your interjection. the 'rename' aspect is especially helpful, as it gives me a middle option over a merger. DS9 Forever, just in terms of a renaming as Cardassian history (mirror), do you think that might preserve the structure of this article to your liking? it can probably stay at the new name as is? -- Captain MKB 22:32, November 28, 2014 (UTC)
