Does anyone have a source that states the duties of the the Commandant of the Academy vs. the Superintendent of the Academy??? If not, I propose we assume they model after todays US military academy. The Superintendent is the Officer in charge of the Academy and the Commandant overseers the day to day operations and discipline. ( Like the President of an American University vs. the Dean of the University). Thoughts?? (Cmdr Ljungberg 22:40, 2 February 2007 (UTC))

Good thought, though the US Naval Academy model would be the better model, considering Starfleet's other naval traditions. There are some differences between West Point and Annapolis in this regard. See the Wikipedia article. --TimPendragon 23:35, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Speculation is fine and can be noted but we should not be presenting definitions of a role without citation. -- 8of5 14:09, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
