The super short comic "Captain's Personal Log" printed in Focus on... Star Trek also takes place a week after "Turnabout Intruder", the Enterprise is departing Starbase 2 following the events of the episode and returning to its mission to rendezvous with the Potemkin at Beta Aurigae. So should that comic take place before or after this short story? --8of5 14:06, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

The comic also states the stardate 5949.99. --8of5 14:07, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
They would both occur at the same time but in two different continuities. In this short story, the Enterprise departs from Starbase 2 after dropping off Lester and Coleman and heads straight to Earth for the major refit. --Dr. John Smith 14:32, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Hmm ok, when does this story start, exactly? The comic begins just as the Enterprise is departing the starbase. --8of5 14:49, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
At the very same point. And after reading the summary for the short comic strip actually functions in a very good opposite, as Kirk in his quarters drowning his sorrows with McCoy and decides that he is tired and no longer wishes the responsibility of commanding the Enterprise. He then pulls out the orders from Starfleet Command detailing the transfer orders for the crew, offer of promotion for Kirk, and the refit of the Enterprise. --Dr. John Smith 14:53, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
That's quite a fork in the road of time and space! Assuming the story goes on longer after the departure I'd suggest putting the comic first in the chronology as it is done and dusted as soon as it starts. Think that's right? --8of5 15:06, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Sounds good to me (-: --Dr. John Smith 15:08, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
