I believe that in this episode in the alternate future there is a reference to the tenth anniversary of the 23 year voyage of Voyager which would place this story in 2404 just as it is listed here (and on sites like Memoryalpha.) But the Pocket Books Timeline in Voyages of Imagination places the story (and concurrent stories like "Don't Cry" in 2403. Any ideas about the discrepancy? Jdvelasc 20:04, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- The 2377/2378 controversy. -- Tough Little Ship 18:11, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
I have never heard of such a controversy. Where is a good place to read the relevant information? I assume this controversy is about the dating of the episode Endgame and when Voyager actually gets home. Looking at the Stardate given in the episode, it would seem that they arrived home in 2377. What is the evidence that it should be 2378? Did they say it took seven years to get home? Jdvelasc 22:35, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- The controversy started with "Homestead", where Neelix stated that it was the 315th anniversary of first contact between humans and Vulcans. This would place this story and following stories in 2378, which contravenes the standard 1 season=1 year pattern. This led to the controversy of whether Endgame took place in 2377 or 2378, though I go with it being 2377. --The Doctor 22:42, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. Thank you for your response. To provide consistency and avoid edit wars, it would seem that Memory Beta should have a standard date for the relevant episodes/events. I would say that dates that we put on the Memory Beta Chronology (which is recently looking extra nice by the way) should be the "official" dates for the rest of the wiki. So - in this case, which should it be? Jdvelasc 23:54, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
