Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

I'm wondering if this article could use some cleanup, and how best to go about it. The name "Galaxy X class" originates from the Birth of the Federation game, and has nothing to do with Star Trek Online whatsoever. In STO, the ship is simply a Galaxy class refit or "Galaxy class dreadnought," until we're talking about it's different hull skins (which are Monarch, Venture, and later Yamato class).

I'd vote for moving this page to a more catch-all title than "Galaxy X" which has, as far as I can tell, only been used in the BotF game, with notes about the different nomenclature from different sources. "Galaxy class (refit)" or "Galaxy class (variant)", or something along those lines. --TimPendragon (talk) 10:50, January 20, 2020 (UTC)

I hardly see how that's necessary, the name "Galaxy X" fits very well and is, of all the possible names, the only one that is a proper name. The other descriptors can of course be redirects, but the fact is that BotF is the only source that's bothered to give this its own name, while the other source lumps it in with the Galaxy class. the STO names, as redirects, can be linked from the STO pages of course. There's really no reason to scrub the BotF name just because the game isn't affiliated with STO -- captainmike 14:02, January 20, 2020 (UTC)
