A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! As always, the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Strange New Worlds and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG and Star Trek Online, as well as other eventful releases such as Section 31, the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Date?[]

Shouldn't this novel take place in 2374 (before the death of Jadzia Dax), or is her presence simply explained by the Universe's chaotic state? – 74.197.223.65 06:10, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

Karg[]

I'm attempting to disambiguate -- is the Karg mentioned here the same Karg (diplomat) from The Left Hand of Destiny? -- Captain MKB 22:47, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

It's never really made clear. The section he appears in takes place in Sto-Vo-Kor, and he is in a group with Jadzia (who has died and is found there), and he gets offed about 10-15 pages later. And by offed, I mean his head gets removed. :) -- sulfur 15:08, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

Interesting to be beheaded after you've already found your way into the afterlife... i wonder what happens then? Anywho, this means he could be either Karg, the possibly dead LHoD Karg or the presumably long-dead 23rd century Karg (unless he was portrayed as someone who had entered Sto-v-k alive?) -- Captain MKB 15:12, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

It's a weird and convoluted segment. Karg knows Kor, and Kor is "killed" at the start of the segment, so... it's all confusing as to what's really going on in that portion of the book. :) -- sulfur 15:57, December 17, 2010 (UTC)
