:Well, "IRW" and "RIS" refer to ships used by the Imperial Navy. "STO" might apply those prefixes to later Scimitar-class ships, but those ships appear to have been commissioned into the official stellar navy of either the Romulan Star Empire or the Romulan Republic. The Scimitar, however, was used by a rogue faction, designed and built in secret. It was never actually officially commissioned into the Imperial Navy. - Bell'Orso (talk) 10:14, August 26, 2017 (UTC)

:You mean, like S31's USS Vengeance. Agreed. OTOH, the ship was used in official capacity during Praetor Shinzon's reign. Kind regards, -- Markonian 11:42, August 26, 2017 (UTC)

Starfleet Command III

Can anyone expand on the reference from Starfleet Command III? --8of5 02:05, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm the one who entered this particular data. Unfortunately, what very little info I have is based on memory. I don't have a copy of the game installed right now. Any help in expansion would be appreciated. --Lenonn 04:40, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Disambiguation

Was going to add information to this wiki about the bladed weapon known as a scimitar; I feel that leaving the notable Romulan vessel here as the "main" page is appropriate, and wonder if anyone has an opinion on what I call the other article. Scimitar (blade)? Scimitar (sword)? --Savar 18:46, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

Is there actually a citation for a refrence to a scimitar blade anywher in Star Trek?
The blade is the much more basic use of the term -- we should preferably disambiguate the ship(s) as they are derivative (named after that original usage) -- Captain MKB 22:40, January 31, 2011 (UTC)
