Retro Continuity[]
Has it been agreed that we differentiate Icheb's biography (and other affected pages) by continuity, rather than keeping it strictly chronological? Kind regards, -- Markonian 09:03, March 7, 2020 (UTC)
- That was not the agreement. the agreement was that sources be separated into individual subsections. As of now i added the visual marker (which itself is a first draft) but I haven't had time to refine the background notes that will separate the subsections -- captainmike 15:16, March 7, 2020 (UTC)
- The subsections have now been defined. I still need to add the bg info paragraphs which will buffer the retro continuity sections to make them stand apart from the rest of the article -- captainmike 15:26, March 7, 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you. I like the current layout. While the sources may be incompatible, a chronological listing of events doesn't reveal that, and characters routinely return from the dead. Kind regards, -- Markonian 20:38, March 7, 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, the discussion we had a few years ago was that we must create clear divisions to indicate these blocks of the article that reflect incompatible continuity.
- Just a couple of notes on your recent changes - Vintrax didnt "take over" for Icheb - he's from a different continuity. You've written a supposition to try and create an association between the two where none exists. Please stop doing this, this was also the issue with the USS Voyager (NCC-73602) article. I'm available to answer questions if you still don't understand why you are incorrect.
- Also, there's no need for an "Icheb (alternates)" article we only have one brief alternate universe appearance, so please don't write links for unnecessary articles. those alternates articles are for major characters that have multiple alternate versions with large amounts of information about some or all of them -- captainmike 21:29, March 7, 2020 (UTC)
