Redirect / disambiguate[]
Well we all knew this was coming... (except for those of us on the wrong side of the 6 month spoiler window who aren't yet aware)...
we have two characters named Jack Crusher..
the only disambiguant we have for Ensign Jack Crusher is Jack Crusher (Ensign), but the minor awkwardness there is that Jack R. Crusher was also once an ensign. he could be Jack Crusher (25th century) (currently a redirect) -- but he was also born in the 24th century so, nuts to that being an easy usage. we might use Jack Crusher II? ...but we don't have a source reference that assumes he actually forms his name that way, and if he has a different middle initial than Jack the elder, that would be an invalid name(?)
the only disambiguant(s) we might have for Jack R. Crusher is that his middle initial is "R", but the minor awkwardness is that the younger Jack might also have the same middle initial. i'd hope he wouldn't and maybe we'd one day learn it.
the simplest possible naming would be to just move the younger Jack here to Jack Crusher and leave Jack R. Crusher with the initial.
regardless of whichever plan a consensus favors, all links to Jack Crusher will need to be changed to the specific articles of the two characters and that's a big project i'm flagging for user attention or a bot volunteer -- captainmike

- The solution of Jack Crusher for the younger and Jack R. Crusher for the older makes sense to me. -- Meacott (talk) 15:02, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
