Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! As always, the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Strange New Worlds and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG and Star Trek Online, as well as other eventful releases such as Section 31, the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Also, please do not include details in the summary bar when editing pages and do not anticipate making additions relating to sources not yet in release. THANK YOU

Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

There's no citation for the new name the article has been moved to... "a new novel" is not a specific source. -- captainmike 08:56, September 9, 2017 (UTC)

It comes from the new Rise of the Federation novel Patterns of Interference as part of the backstory of one of the characters. -- Briet 10:56, September 9, 2017 (UTC)
It's explained in the author's annotations of Patterns of Interference under chapter 6, pages 131-2: Author's Annotations. -- CaptVader 18:21, September 9, 2017 (UTC)
Unfortunately, as I understand it, authors annotations are not a valid source on this wiki, except maybe for a background note. So, unless the novel expressly states that the sister of Morgan Kelly is named Janelle an that that person once served on the Enterprise, then this page will have to be moved back to its previous named and a new one be created for "Janelle". - Bell'Orso (talk) 20:50, September 9, 2017 (UTC)
Have we assembled enough information to keep this article's location or revert it to other names -- captainmike 09:44, October 5, 2017 (UTC)
