Where did the birth year of 2232 for Rand come from? The novelization of "Miri" gives her age as 24 in 2266, and from what I remember her age was given as 16 in Enterprise: The First Adventure (2264), although I believe some timey-wimey dilation stuff was involved there. --Dr. John Smith 14:10, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

In First Adventure, due to some dilation effects she was chronologically 18 years old (and thus could enlist in Starfleet), but subjectively was only 16 years old or so. The records that would show that were left on the nasty place she escaped from. The listed age may be based on Grace Lee Whitney's age at the time of production, but that's off some too. It'll probably take some digging to find out who added or last changed it.--Emperorkalan 16:52, 20 September 2007 (UTC).

It won't take any digging. I originally put in 2232, based on files across the Internet, and before I'm lambasted, YES, twas before I was first told about not putting that stuff. Anyway, having read the (recent?) note on Miri, 2242 is now put in as official. And whoever edited Rand's middle initial...don't. [User: Stripey].

Are there any appearances of her in the 24th century? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.134.93.133 (talk • contribs) .

Has anybody got an answer? – 84.134.75.180 15:19, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

I think the answer is "none thus far".--Emperorkalan 15:38, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
