I reverted the last edit that was cited to the ST Encyclopedia. Memory Alpha says that the Star Trek Encyclopedia does not refer to the language as "Klingoni", so perhaps it was an error to state that it did. -- Captain MKB 00:46, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- No error. Please listen closely to the way Korax pronounces it before the all-too-famous fight on K-7. He may have slurred it, being drunk. But, it has been marked in various ref books as the alternate term along, "Kling", "Klinzhai", "t'lIngan", etc.– Ensignsisko 00:57, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry, you listed "Star Trek Encyclopedia" as the citation -- were you being dishonest or can you give me a page number we can check?
As to "listening", I can clearly hear that the audio was editted badly. -- Captain MKB 01:21, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- You're sorry alright, but not the manner you think. As for the page: Just go to the "K" section or under the entry for The Trouble with Tribbles episode synopsis. (the black and white version, to be specific of the encyclopedia) Now will you need my further help, or will it take a holoraphic Hawking and a rep from the Daystrom Institute?!?! As for the audio, why not try the DVD version where all the background noise is reduced and STOP re-playing the VHS so called hi-fi def?!?! -- unsigned comment
I have listened to the episode and again, I disagree with you.
And still no page number -- do you have a problem answering simple questions?
The 2nd and 3rd volumes of the Encyclopedia have no mention of this, so obviously it was rightfully edited out -- and most people I know have noticed the choppy editing in the original episode and have dismissed this as a miscue. You can hear that he is cut off in mid-word by sound effects and musical cues. That is no reason to claim that half a word really exists.
Given your other false edits, I really have no reason to believe you should be allowed to add anything like this, especially since we are discussing a canon subject, and the canon wiki at Memory Alpha has dismissed this. Stop causing problems here and maybe you'd be taken more seriously. -- Captain MKB 15:26, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Suggestion: Move the glossary to the tlhIngan Hol article[]
Since this article is about Klingon languages in general, it seems inadvisable that the bulk of the article should be dedicated to tlhIngan Hol. I feel we could avoid a lot of confusion by moving this part there (or to its own article). --LoghaD (talk) 13:33, February 25, 2014 (UTC)
