Because the capital "i" and lowercase "L" look identical in most typefaces, I take this particular spelling from the "About the Author" section in Articles of the Federation (novel). For the record, the first letter is an "L", and the fifth is an "i". --Seventy 04:52, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
