Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! At present the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Discovery and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG, Star Trek: Infinite and Star Trek Online, as well as other post-57th Anniversary publications such as the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Also, please do not include details in the summary bar when editing pages and do not anticipate making additions relating to sources not yet in release. THANK YOU

Would anyone be upset if I reformated this article to conform with all the others? – AT2Howell 23:48, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

I think it is a much needed change... just FYI, 8of5 is drafting a page layout standard, at Balance of Terror, and he has described it at Forum:New page layout proposal .. check it out! -- Captain MKB 00:18, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

This book says that the Enterprise was built in space. The new preview shows it being built on earth. Just FYI. – AT2Howell 06:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Paters

I've got Pater Stuart and Pater Delvin. Is Pater a title or a common first name? – AT2Howell 02:57, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

It's a religious title, meaning "Father".—Eta Carinae 15:10, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Annotations

I recently started a little pet project to annotate various editions from my Star Trek novel library, starting with "Mission to Horatius". My first instinct was to publish these annotation here on Memory Beta, though I've since realized that, while I have a great deal of respect for the enforced "encyclopedic" standards here, it is not the format in which I am the most comfortable writing. Having said all that, I started my own blog in which I can publish annotations using whatever style I see fit and am removing the edits I had previously started on this page. Would it be okay, once any given set of annotations is complete, to post a link to my blog/annotation page from the relevant Memory Beta article? --MShivers 22:03, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
