Couldn't this just be "Monet Room"? --8of5 00:58, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Isn't there a Monet Room on Kronos also, necessitating the disambiguation? :)
I'd say we could revert the move, but should we ask Sci? He might already be upset about the Empyrean House. -- Captain MKB 02:12, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Is there?? The Klingons are Monet fans? If there is isn't this done wrong anyway, shouldn't it be like an address, you start at the most detailed and move out, so "Monet Room, Palais de la Concorde"? --8of5 02:43, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Since Klingons wrote the original Shakespeare, I'd wonder about how they felt about European visual arts. However, you are right, this is overly descriptive and can be simplified. -- Captain MKB 02:51, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Were you joking about the Klingon Monet Room? --8of5 02:56, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Totally was. This article needs your help. Do it! -- Captain MKB

As I recall, I had originally created this article under the name "Monet Room" and then redirected it to "Palais de la Concorde Monet Room" to keep it consistent with the pattern used on Wikipedia -- they don't label their article "Situation Room," they label it "White House Situation Room." The idea that a formal encyclopedia would want to keep the name of the building in front of the relevant office room seemed reasonable to me. I can't say I have any particular emotion invested in one option or the other. -- User:Sci 09:44 5 JULY 2010 UTC

A very reasonable rationale. Might I suggest though that the reason that's the case with the White House Situation Room might be because Situation Room is quite a generic name so may require a disambiguate, while the w:Oval Office for example is just called the Oval Office. --8of5 13:11, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
Well, I don't know how generic the term "Situation Room" really is -- really, to me, the only famous "Situation Rooms" are the White House Situation Room and the Wolf Blitzer TV show on CNN. ;) But, like I said, it's not something I feel strongly about one way or the other.
By the way, as far as the Empyrean House goes -- I'm not upset about it at all! I don't like the name, and I don't like the idea of the President living in it, but its description of the Empyrean House's sheer size to me makes a lot more sense than the surprisingly small Palais de la Concorde in the novels. As someone who's wandered the office buildings of the United States Congress, I can attest that there's just no way a government as large as the Federation's could possible function in a single building that's only 15 stories tall unless its diameter is just absurdly wide. But that's just my critique of Pocket's creative choices. ;) -- Sci 22:37 6 JULY 2010 UTC
