Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! At present the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Discovery and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG, Star Trek: Infinite and Star Trek Online, as well as other post-57th Anniversary publications such as the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Also, please do not include details in the summary bar when editing pages and do not anticipate making additions relating to sources not yet in release. THANK YOU

Reverted edit

Why the doubled link. If one is an alias, it would be much more appropriate to link to both names and not cram them both into one link. -- captainmike Wiki-wordmarkX 02:14, August 12, 2020 (UTC)

I created the doubled link to avoid spoiling the reveal of who L'Nel really is. L'Nel links to a disambiguation page which is why I reverted you. --NetSpiker (talk) 02:33, August 12, 2020 (UTC)
having two links would have actually been less spoilery. if you were concerned with the link going to a disambiguation page, it would have been more conscientious to add a disambiguant, rather than reverting back to an incorrect configuration. -- captainmike Wiki-wordmarkX 02:53, August 12, 2020 (UTC)
L'Nel and T'Pring are the same person, so I wouldn't call it an incorrect configuration. I was following the precedent set by [[Isis|Trespasser]] in Year Five, Issue 7 and [[Baras Rodirya|Ishan Anjar]] in Revelation and Dust. --NetSpiker (talk) 03:07, August 12, 2020 (UTC)
It is an incorrect configuration. you shouldn't be configuring links to go to a different link in a references section. its supposed to be a bare list. in a summary or quote, yes, configure links -- but not in a reference list. those other cases should be fixed as well -- captainmike Wiki-wordmarkX 03:14, August 12, 2020 (UTC)
I've removed L'Nel from the list entirely since it was just an alias. Your last edit made it look like they were separate characters. --NetSpiker (talk) 08:19, August 12, 2020 (UTC)
