Welcome to Ronbo58! We appreciate the input. However, a lot of your article deals with general navigation information (which would be more on-topic on Wikipedia than here), and some of it looks like fan speculation (e.g., Starfleet as the direct descendent of the USAF). And the photo is nice, but there's nothing particualrly "Trek" about it (it doesn't even really have a clear view of the hood viewer). I don't bring up these critiques to discourage your input, just to encourage you to streamline it a bit more and keep it more tightly focused on the term as applied in the Trek universe itself.
