Isn't Omega Draconis verifiably in the Alpha Quadrant? I checked via Kevin Jardine's Gaia DR 3-supported star location tool. DEWLine.Ottawa (talk) 11:19, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

When I started adding location references, I assumed that all of the planets and systems in each scenario were inside the Shackleton Expanse, because that's what the book is about. When I got to the mission brief that takes place on Earth's Moon, I realized that wasn't the case. Not sure about Omega Draconis. Gilgamesh de Uruk (talk) 12:24, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
Although we do include 'real' scientific data there's a bit of a disconnect in terms of how to define the quadrants (since they are fictional), for those, i think we have to follow Star trek sources and might have to disregard real science data in place of that.
the definition of the Alpha Quadrant border being a straight line from Earth/Sol to the galactic center could be seen as supposition since there is the possibility there is a more intricate way of plotting the border in-universe
i've looked at Star Trek publications only for quadrant data (for example, seeing where Draconis stars fall in Star Charts) and seeing if there is conclusive in-universe evidence. i'd discourage using other tools or sources -- captainmike •••• 12:59, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
I checked Star Charts and it agrees with real life - the entire Draco constellation is in Alpha Quadrant. -- captainmike •••• 09:55, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
