In 2000, between the publication of Challenger and Chainmail, Jim McCain had an online interview with Diane Carey, where she answered questions about the series. The interview was published on before the site crash. Jim has recently reposted it (at my request) here on the Psi-Phi Message Boards.

Some of Diane's answers provide good information about Challenger and the direction the series would have taken. Would it be permissable to include those pertinent answers, or information from them, in a "Background" section in this article? --TimPendragon 00:32, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't see why the info can't be included in some form or another. I got the info about Pava Ek'Noor sh'Aqabaa being edited out of Taking Wing through a correspondence with Andy Mangels. I just included the info in italics to separate it from the main text with a note that the info came from the author. --Turtletrekker 01:22, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

ETA: I saw your post and JiM McCain's reply at psi phi, I got the thought that we should ask him if he minds us reprinting the relevant portions here on Diane Carey's page. --Turtletrekker 01:24, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Should this be merged with Star Trek: New Earth? After all this isn't really a series as it only has one novel and one novella, and is a continuation of the New Earth storyline. --Dr. John Smith 12:16, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

I'd say no, it's a pitifully small "series", but it is more than one thing, unlike say Excelsior: Forged in Fire. And it isn't actually included under the New Earth banner, even if it is a direct continuation. --8of5 17:00, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
