While this are obviously Star Trek novels, they don't use the name on the covers. How should we cite this taking these by taking this into account? -- DS9 Forever 14:04, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
- Well, not one novel or comic ever (as far as I can recall) has used the title Star Trek: The Original Series, but we still use TOS all over. Nor at the A Time To... novels branded TNG, but we know they are. I think it's safe to apply the same here, so TOS I suppose. Though maybe we need to come up with a catch-all series name for all things new timeline? As they are starting to get more numerous. --8of5 21:07, July 16, 2011 (UTC)
- alt.TOS? JJTOS? hm.
- The first two-years of ENT also went without the "ST" preceding the title. Certainly things like that can be noted in some fact section somewhere. -- Captain MKB 21:43, July 16, 2011 (UTC)
- I think another two or three letter thing would be nice, but don’t have much of an idea what, there's not really been one to catch on yet so far as I can tell. And I'd think this series page would be the place to note such a fact. These books are odd; no Star Trek on the cover, not even a based on Star Trek (crediting either Roddenburry or Abrams), no author on the cover even! --8of5 22:44, July 16, 2011 (UTC)
The back cover does call the series "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy"though -- Captain MKB 23:27, July 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, well spotted, it's on the inside back flap on the hardcovers "Look for more books about Star Trek Starfleet Academy at your favourite store!" --8of5 23:43, July 16, 2011 (UTC)
