Wrong Enterprise in the picture. That's Gabe Koerner's Enterprise, a fan redesign. I don't know anything about wikia, so I won't change it in case I screw up.The preceding unsigned comment was added by 193.120.116.185 (talk) .

Are you sure? That's the same image and ship as appears in all the movie media. -- BadCatMan 23:50, February 27, 2012 (UTC)

Robert April[]

Given that the Star Trek Comics which are the back story to the new films and that they are now relevant to discussion here on Memory Beta, should there not be some discussion here concerning the captaincy of Robert April (alternative reality) prior to Pike (alternative reality)?

Just my humble suggestion which may resolve some of the matter. According to Memory Alpha, Robert April was captain of the original Enterprise beginning in 2245. Pike then took over in 2251. Kirk then took the position in 2262. That being said, the non-negotiable in the new time line is that Kirk takes the Enterprise in 2258. However, that still leaves open the idea that Pike was actually captain longer than just one short mission in the crisis in 2258. If this is the case, then there is no reason to not see April as captain from 2245 until 2251 and then Pike from 2251 until 2258 (with a brief interlude for a Enterprise refit between 2255 and 2258) in the new timeline. April's captaincy may need to be adjusted based upon the events in Star Trek: Countdown to Darkness.

My further suggestion which may resolve some of the oddities of the timeline of the "construction" of the Enterprise in 2255 would be to, again humbly, suggest that the Enterprise as seen in the 2009 film was actually undergoing major refits. Then April and, for a time, Pike's Enterprise would then look like Koerner's Enterprise. In my simple opinion, Koerner has done a fantastic job with his design and I think his work is easily integrated on these terms or something similar.

Like a previous contribution to this posting, I am not savvy with Wiki modification so I don't want to presume to try to adjust this on this site. Just some simple thoughts.
