Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

move page[]

Seeing as there are at least three other Federation Starfleet starships named USS Titan, shouldn't the contents of this page be moved to "USS Titan (NCC-80102)" and this page be transformed into a redirect or something? - Bell'Orso (talk) 08:16, September 29, 2014 (UTC)

We already have Titan as a disambig page. Also, USS Voyager has no registry moniker either. –-- Markonian 18:50, September 29, 2014 (UTC)
The overwhelming majority of people looking for a "USS Titan" or "USS Voyager" are going to be thinking respectively of Riker's Luna-class and Captain Psychotic Traitor's Intrepid-class, not randomly generated Star Trek: Armada ships or some ship that got a one-line blurb in an RPG manual that was largely Jossed by the TNG-era shows. --StarSword (talk) 22:58, September 29, 2014 (UTC)

Voyager has no registry moniker because there is no article on any other ship of that name currently on this wiki. Unlike so many others, this name seems to be actually unique in canon and licensed Trek. And the majority of people seraching for USS Enterprise are no doubt looking for Mister Ladies' Man's first ship, but it and all the others still have the registry in the page name and USS Enterprise redirects to a disambiguation page. Same with Defiant: Most people will be looking for Sisko's ship, the class prototype, but "USS Defiant" also redirects to a disambiguation page. Hence, the contents of USS Titan should be moved to USS Titan (NCC-80102) and the page itself be turned into a redirect to "Titan". It's been done with all the other ship names that have been used more than once, why not this one? - Bell'Orso (talk) 04:15, September 30, 2014 (UTC)

There is more than one major Enterprise, there is more than one major Defiant. There is one major Titan. I think that this falls more into the "James Kirk" style of page, where this is the primary one that is typically being searched for. -- sulfur (talk) 10:22, September 30, 2014 (UTC)
