A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! As always, the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Strange New Worlds and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG and Star Trek Online, as well as other eventful releases such as Section 31, the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Also, please do not include details in the summary bar when editing pages and do not anticipate making additions relating to sources not yet in release. THANK YOU

Registry number?[]

So is the Trident's registry NCC-31347 as in the article title, or NCC-31356 as in the article text and sidebar? --TimPendragon 02:50, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

None of "After the Fall", "Stone Anvil", or "Missing in Action" make any mention of a registry for the Trident that I can find. On the other hand, the Gateways novel, "Cold Wars" has this comment:
Without blinking an eye, Arex said, "The Trident. Registry NCC-31347. Newly commissioned Galaxy-class vessel."
As such, it appears that the article is named properly, but the text is incorrect. I'll correct that now. -- Sulfur 13:06, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Villers[]

Do we have a reference for Villers rank as a commander? Only that it's not referenced on his own page, so either there is a reference and it needs to be added to that page too, or there isn't one and we need to remove the rank from this page. – CommodoreFisher 18:59, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Class[]

On page 296 of Gateways: What Lay Beyond: The Other Side, the Trident is said to be an Ambassador-class starship. I'm sure this is a goof, but I feel it should be mentioned somewhere.
