Based upon the two conflicting registry numbers (and the presence of the Yeager Type USS Yeager on DS9) is it possible that the USS Yeager (NCC-61947) and the USS Yeager (NCC-81947) are two different ships? - Nx1701g 19:36, November 13, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think there are actual sources to backing up there actually being any such ship as the 81947, since it was an error present in someone's fan fiction. -- Captain MKB 02:10, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
Unfortunately the 'fan fiction' that identified it by the wrong registry number is an authorized source of info for the wiki - the DS9 Tech Manual - Nx1701g 04:03, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for finally getting around to identifying a source. It would help you communicate better around here if you would share your sources initially instead of making people ask you or guess like i did.
The canon model for the ship was labeled 61947 -- any other registry for that same ship must be regarded as a typo since canon takes precedence . -- Captain MKB 12:44, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
