Talnot was a Bajoran who wrote several prophecies, including The Prophecy of the Final Days, which is one of the Bajoran ancient texts.

In 2375, Winn Adami, when told by the disguised Skrain Dukat of the Rogath blight that had struck Relliketh, believed it had been foretold in a passage from Talnot's prophecy, "the land shall be poisoned by a great evil." (DS9 episode: "'Til Death Do Us Part")

In 2376, Lenaris Holem tried to think if the destruction of Sidau had been foretold in Talnot's prophecies. (DS9 - Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel: Bajor: Fragments and Omens)

In 2387, during the Devidian temporal apocalypse, the Adherents of Talnot believed that the event has been foreseen by Talnot in Prophecy of the Final Days. (ST - Coda novel: The Ashes of Tomorrow)
