Talut was a Jelna exomale native to Rigel V. In the early 25th century, Talut participated in the civilian Federation outreach program to support people in need. Talut was stationed on Deep Space Station K-7 and sold warp coils and terraforming systems to Starfleet officers supporting the outreach program. For Talut, it was the first time he was away from home but his spiritual guides made him pursue a profession allowing him to help others. (STO mission: "Outreach")
