See Tam for other articles with titles that contain, either by relationship or by coincidence, this character's surname.

Mister Tam was a male Human who served Starfleet as a crewman on the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the year 2268.

That year, he was working in the transporter room after a transporter accident had killed Captain Gage Darres. When Captain Kirk entered the room to talk to Montgomery Scott about the accident, Tam gave Scotty a sympathetic look. Scotty thought that Tam needed to learn to mind his own business, and after Kirk left, Scotty talked to Tam about "good manners." (TOS novel: Cloak)
