Tanuga IV was an inhabited planet, a class M[1] world located in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta quadrants. It was the fourth planet of the Tanuga star system and homeworld of the sapient, humanoid Tanugan species and capital of their state, the Tanugan Anocracy. (ST video game: Infinite)
History and specifics[]
Tanuga IV was the homeworld of the Tanugan civilization. From orbit, the planet could appear uniformly blue and covered in knobby mountains amongst line-like topographic features. (TNG episode: "A Matter of Perspective")
This planet was the capital of the Tanugan Anocracy in the 2340s decade. In the year 2346, the Inquisitor of the Tanugan Anocracy, Rama Apgar, resided in the capital city on the surface of Tanuga IV. (ST video game: Infinite)
In the 2360s, an R1 Investigator-class space station laboratory operated in the planet's orbit. The Tanuga IV research station exploded on stardate 43610.4 in the year 2366. Its destruction was observed by the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D, which then led the investigation into the station's destruction. (TNG episode: "A Matter of Perspective")
