Tarba had a dilithium cracking station. Circa the year 2359, the Federation starship USS Starbound secretly carried a shipment of Tarba's dilithium crystals from Starbase 36 to Starfleet's Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards on Mars, though these were stolen en route by Orion pirates. Perhaps uniquely, Tarba's crystals were said to be impervious to blast damage. (TNG novel: Survivors)
