Tariq Rahim was a Human male serving in the Federation Starfleet in the 24th century. He was an officer assigned to Deep Space 9 and the USS Defiant.
Biography[]
In the year 2376 during the Defiant's three month exploration mission in the Gamma Quadrant, Rahim was part of Lieutenant junior grade Nog's engineering staff. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: Twilight)
In January 2377, Lieutenant Rahim was serving as a science officer on the Defiant when it pursued Taran'atar. After Prynn Tenmei was believed to have been killed in the explosion of the comet Nahanas, Rahim questioned if Commander Elias Vaughn was still able to command the Defiant. Sam Bowers countered that while they were all grieving for Prynn, they were still able to do their duty. Rahim later briefed the Defiant crew on Harkoum. (DS9 novel: Warpath)
