The Tarl are a civilization that make a home in the Epsilon Indi star system. Bill Johnson's paternal grandfather was Tarl. Bill was tall, green skinned, and consumed a liter of alcohol every four hours as sustenance. Acids such as orange juice would cause him to become drunk. (TOS novel: Planet of Judgment)
