Tarrant was a Cardassian woman who lived in the 24th century. Tarrant was married to Kizon and was EV specialist.
In 2375, Tarrant was secretly evacuated from Cardassia aboard a Lurian freighter by Thrax Sa'kat's underground railroad. When the Lurian freighter suffered a warp core breach, Tarrant accompanied thirteen children aboard into a cargo pod which was launched before the freighter was destroyed. Tarrant sacrificed her life to save the children by making sure their oxygen supply remained enough for them to survive. All thirteen of the children were rescued by the USS Defiant soon after and successfully treated by Doctor Julian Bashir. (DS9 - Prophecy and Change short story: "Foundlings")
