Tath was a 23rd century Sarsith doctor.

Biography[]

In 2274, after the end of a lengthy, successful rebellion against the invading Mirmonot, Tath served as the personal physician of Brotherhood of Waters General Onoth at the Isoth Fortress hospital on Sarsithia. Tath was tasked with treating victims of a plague which emerged during famine, economic collapse, and other hardships.

When Doctor Christine Chapel was injured and exposed to the plague during an aircar crash, Onoth had her brought to Tath in an isolation chamber. However, Onoth asked that Chapel remain incapacitated, and when Leonard McCoy treated her with a potential antidote, Tath secretly administered a mild tranquilizer to stall her recovery. Unfortunately, the sedative reacted with the antidote to create a powerful stimulant. Chapel overpowered Kirk's security forces and fled. Tath accompanied the security team on a search, hoping to inject Chapel with an antidote to the tranquilizer and stop her, but she left the planet in a Sarsith transport. (TOS comic: "Quarantine")
