Tau Ceti IV is the fourth planet located in the Tau Ceti system.

History

Tau Ceti IV gave home to one of Earth's oldest extra-solar settlements, and in the 2150s, the city of Amber was the home port of the ECS Kobayashi Maru. (ENT novels: Kobayashi Maru, Beneath the Raptor's Wing)

In 2156, Tau Ceti IV was the site of a major battle between the Coalition of Planets and Romulan Star Empire that ended in the defeat of allied forces, the Romulan occupation of Tau Ceti IV and the total annihilation of the human colony on the planet. (ENT novels: Beneath the Raptor's Wing, Tower of Babel)

In 2273, zoologist Karen Hester-Jones researched the mating habits of an indigenous psionic primate native to Tau Ceti IV. (TOS comic: "Experiment in Vengeance!")
