- "If we go to war, let us be sure it is for the right reasons."
- —'Tebok' to Jean-Luc Picard (TNG episode: "The Neutral Zone")
He found the USS Enterprise-D learned that the Federation were not responsible for the destruction. Despite not finding the culprits, he did tell the crew of the Starfleet vessel that the Romulan Empire had now broken its long period of isolation, which had begun with the Tomed Incident in 2311. (TNG episode: "The Neutral Zone", TNG novel: Debtor's Planet)
Later that year, he was present among the Romulan delegation at a conference with the ambassadors and intelligence officers of the other galactic powers, which included the Federation, Klingon Empire and the Cardassian Union. (TOS - Vulcan's Soul novel: Exodus)
- One of the members of the Cardassian Union delegation was Akellen Macet, who, like Tebok, was played by Marc Alaimo.
Tebok survived the Hobus supernova of 2387, and by 2393 frequently clashed with now-Praetor Taris during sessions of the Romulan Colonial Organizational Committee, advocating focusing on the Imperial core worlds over defending the fringe, while Taris believed the Romulan fleet should keep fighting for every world.
In 2397, Kevratas declared independence from the Empire over Taris' refusal to provide relief supplies during a bloodfire epidemic the previous year. Taris ordered Tebok to put down the rebellion by force, but Tebok defied the order and negotiated a peace settlement with the Kevratans, ordering humanitarian aid be delivered immediately, and ferrying Kito and other Kevratan leaders to Rator III to make their case to the Romulan Senate in Nova Roma. Taris ordered Tebok to resign his commission for his insubordination, but the Senate overruled her.
On stardate 76306.19 (2399), Tebok was killed when his flagship IRW Alth'Indor was destroyed by a computer virus attack. Velal succeeded him as fleet commander despite an attempt by Taris to make herself acting commander. (STO website: The Path to 2409)
