Technobabble is a term for language which is used with technological terms.

In 2369, Benjamin Sisko told Jadzia Dax that her explanation of the subspace compression affecting the Bajoran wormhole sounded like technobabble. (DS9 novel: The Siege)

Several weeks later, Q mocked the crew of Deep Space 9, who had been unable to locate the source of a huge power drain, telling them that "Picard and his lackeys would have solved all this technobabble hours ago". (DS9 episode: "Q-Less")
