The Teenaxi are a humanoid species native to the planet Teenax.
History
In 2263 in the Kelvin timeline, the Teenaxi and their delegation were offered a artifact by the Fibonan Republic and the Federation via the USS Enterprise's captain James T. Kirk.
However, the Teenaxi believed that the Fibonans would use the artifact to eat them. They then attacked Kirk. Two of them were teleported along with Kirk to the Enterprise, with one of them, Kevin, eventually joining the crew. (TOS movie: Star Trek Beyond)
As Kevin helped the Enterprise reconstruction aboard in the Starbase Yorktown, a Teenaxi delegation, headed by Grand Audarch Steve, visited to progress the civilization's negotiations with the Federation. (TOS - Boldly Go comic: "Issue 10")
