I created this template, when I got tired of adding the italics marks and internal links over and over, and wanted those things to be added directly. See for example the article Clarke on how it can be used.

Continued existence[]

Is there any point in still having this template (and Template:Cite-comic & Template:Cite-episode), as they aren't widely used. On the other hand, should we implement them wiki-wide so it would be easier to standardize our reference system? Thoughs? --Vote Saxon 23:37, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Note the system adopted by MA and STEU ... {{TOS}}, etc and then you can specify the episode name and it automatically formats the result. -- Captain MKB 01:07, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm sure some people would find these handy, but myself, it's a lot easier and more straight forward to type the cite as it appears, rather than trying to remember whatever keystroke combination gives me the same result. --Seventy 02:32, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

I agree with Seventy, I'm content to type a reference, there are too numerous series and formats that we cover to easily streamline the whole thing, MA has it easy only doing episodes from 6 series and 10 films. -- 8of5 04:59, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
