Any problem with the additional qualifier: "Apocryphal images take precedence"? We'll keep the canon screenshots as they continue to be added, but if someone wants to replace a canon image with a apocryphal image, I think being Memory Beta the apocryphal image should come first. - Lieutenant Ayala 16:11, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Definitely, but not until every day has an image. -- 8of5 16:17, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

The pic of the day showing on this page is the May 14th picture (multiple ships from "The Defector"). But the one on the Main Page is the May 15th (from a comic). Not sure why this is happening. I am pretty sure that the May 14th picture was never on the main page. --Jdvelasc 04:48, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

50th anniversaryEdit

Echoing a message from the distant past found above: Let's try to observe Star Trek's 50th anniversary (and i think we let MB's 10th go by as well) .. let's try to use only non-canon images in as many places as possible. Some of the screenshots we have are necessary to illustrate fine details, but the move to replace all our images with HD screenshots that seems to be underway should be tempered with our place as the non-canon licensed Wikia, so we should dredge up as many of our old hoary novel and comic images to really show our colors for the increased visitor count we're bound to get as the date nears. -- Captain MKB 03:11, August 14, 2016 (UTC)

The suggested change is overdue. -- Captain MKB 01:23, February 25, 2017 (UTC)
