In starship classification, the temporal battlecruiser was type of starship category in use by the Khitomer Alliance in the 25th century. An temporal starship was defined keeping an temporal operative as bridge officer. A bridge with an time agent officer holding the rank of commander or its equivalent enabled the ship to fire a molecular deconstruction beam and tuning their offensive stance through molecular reconstruction. History and specifics[]

In the years of 2409 and 2410, a front was active in the Temporal Cold War. Agent Daniels of the Federation Temporal Agency oversaw the recruitment of officers and involvement of local powers during the war. (STO - Yesterday's War mission: "The Once and Future Agent")

Subsequently, the Khitomer Alliance members fielded dedicated timeships, including older starship classes reconfigured into temporal starships. In 2410, Starfleet operated the 23rd century Ranger-class and 26th century Paladin-class tier 6-rated temporal battlecruisers. (STO - Agents of Yesterday mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

The Klingon counterpart was the D7 class temporal battlecruiser. Ships of the class were capable of the corbomite maneuver thanks to their ominous device. The temporal battlecruiser configuration was available for other classes of the D7 family, including the K't'inga-class and Koro't'inga-class.
