For the primary universe counterpart, see Teplan.

The Teplans were a species native to the Gamma Quadrant in the mirror universe. Like their counterparts from the prime reality, they also defied the Dominion. However, this version of the Dominion was far more ruthless than its prime counterpart. While the Founders of the prime reality, merely inflicted them with the "blight", the mirror Founders ordered the entire mass extermination of the planet's population by using a different biogenic weapon. Within two weeks, the inhabitants had perished to the last man, and the planet was cracked open to be mined of all its mineral wealth, leaving behind a completely dead world. Such a brutal act was intended to be a reminder to all who opposed the will of the Dominion. (Decipher RPG module: Through a Glass, Darkly)
